Homelessness remains a pervasive issue in the US, impacting countless individuals. In Los Angeles, a staggering 76% of the homeless population struggles to access suitable clothing, often enduring extended periods wearing soiled and damp garments, elevating their risk of disease.
Conversely, last year, approximately 371,000 tons of textiles found their way into LA's landfills and water bodies. Alarmingly, 95% of this waste was recyclable and reusable.
The REVEST Foundation is committed to fostering more sustainable solutions to combat these intertwined challenges. We proudly introduce our Clothing Donation Program, providing an accessible avenue to breathe new life into used clothing and accessories. In doing so, we address both environmental concerns and the pressing needs of the most vulnerable within our communities.
Donation Requirements
Prior to Donation:
- Please ensure that all gently used items are thoroughly cleaned before donating.
Items We Accept:
- New or gently used women's, men's, and children's clothing.
- New or lightly used dress, sports, or casual shoes.
- Unused socks, tights, and undergarments.
- Purses, book bags, and reusable bags.
- New feminine and men's hygiene products.
Items We Cannot Accept:
- Clothing with stains, holes, or damage.
- Club attire or otherwise inappropriate clothing.
- Open and/or used socks, tights, and undergarments.
